About Me

I'm a second-year graduate student at the University of California, San Diego, studying Electrical and Computer Engineering with a focus in Machine Learning and Data Science.

My interests lie in utilizing the powers of machine learning and data science for human-centric problems and social good. When I'm not working on that, you can find me outdoors, climbing, or experimenting in the kitchen.

Areas of Interest

Human-centric Data Science

Utilizing the power of machine learning and data science for social good. As scientists, reseearchers, and engineers, it is our duty to do work that benefits others.

Explainable Machine Learning

Closely coupled with the idea of human-centric data science, explainable machine learning removes the "black box" effect of machine learning algorithms. This is of the utmost importance for algorithms such as autonomous vehicle navigation, predictive policing, or credit scoring where the model choices have real potential consequences.

Decentralized Computing

As primarily visual creatures, the ability to comptationally process images is incredibly important for artificial intelligence agents that benefit humanity.
